You may have heard that Pequity is looking for a high energy, dynamic & tenacious Account Executive (AE) to join our growing sales team. 

Well, your name came up. People mentioned that you work well with early-stage teams, think out-of-the-box, easily initiate relaxed but informative two-way phone, e-mail & social conversations with prospects, and are highly self-motivated. You know how to assess a company’s needs and tailor the sales process to meet your prospects where they are. You understand this role is not just working leads you’re getting from our SDR’s, but to also get your hands dirty prospecting on your own, making industry connections, and finding ways to get people talking about Pequity. You could run a sales process in your sleep, and you’re happy to stay thoroughly informed on all new products and the compensation industry in general. That’s exactly what we need.

What a day in the life would look like:

  • Build your pipeline through targeted prospecting calls, emails, messages, and communication
  • Identify and qualify key decision makers in an account, and build a sales process that includes working across different orgs
  • Own each step of the sales process from Discovery to Close
  • Conduct product demonstrations that showcase Pequity and our offerings
  • Help us refine our ICP and pitch by collecting information and helping to analyze what is contributing to wins and losses
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue quota
  • Excellent presentation skills, written/verbal communication skills, and an expert active listener
  • Work with sales leadership to assess new partnerships that add value to what we do
  • Help as needed to build awareness on special projects / events / conferences – including travel and participation 
  • Maintain all activity and record all progress in CRM 

 

What signals we’re looking for (we’re flexible):

  • 3+ years of software sales experience
  • Proven track record of beating quota
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to deal with rejection
  • Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent listening skills
  • Ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships
  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic; acts without being told what to do
  • Knowledge of core sales tools: SFDC, LinkedIn, Google Suite and more
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal resources to help support closing your deal
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables.
  • The intellectual horsepower to become a guide on compensation in a matter of weeks, and the curiosity to keep learning about all its intricacies for years to come
  • High level of integrity and strong commitment to building a successful company
